What a thrilling year 2009 promises to be for the world superbike championship. With my favorite rider, Noriyuki Haga on a Corse Ducati and Troy Corser & Rubens Xaus moving to the newly entered BMW team, not to mention finding Max Biaggi on a new Aprilia Superbike, I'm hoping all heck will break loose. It will be sad not to see our Troy Bayliss out there representing for the first time in decades, but he leaves an amazing legacy, and a bike without the Numero Uno to remind us of how he pounded 2008. Race results from 2008 appear towards the bottom of this page, and as always I'll post regularly results throughout the 2009 season here. This was the very first international racing weekend for this brand new track that Troy Corser called Doha with Beaches." Looks like a briliant new circuit, challenging and taking the best of all the world's best circuits! Bravo! Much more worthy to be called a new circuit than a paved parking lot in Indianapolis and much more suitable a host for not only superbikes but MotoGP & Formula 1 as well.
