Reasonable accomodation is operated by the track, which is a most interesting experience. Sleep in a few minutes too long and youll be woken by a V8 screaming down the straight at 180km/h. Self contained Villas start from $50 and accomodate up to 12 people per villa

> Best viewing: There are no grandstands at Wakefield Park, but numerous viewing areas can be found around the circuit. Because of the relatively flat nature of the track, it is possibl to see just about the entire track from any one point. I prefer sitting on the bank near the end of the straight, just past the right hand kink. CArs are travelling a great speed here, whilst cornering and braking for turn 1. Tyres screaming for mercy as the driver searches for grip that is so elusive...There are plenty of other viewing areas, but bring a nice rug to sit on as they are mainly grasst hills.
Also note here that Wakefield park can become bitterly cold (by australian standards) as the wind comes directly off the snowy mountains. If the temperature says 4c then it feels like -10c because of the storong blowing winds. Regardless of the look of the day, bring a solid coat and long pants - conditions change incredibly quickly in the area.
