I haven't yet found a german web link for traffic warnings / alternate routes for raceday. The track is located at the intersection of 2 rather important german expressways so there's always exit backups on racedays.

A FEW NOTES ABOUT HOCKENHEIM GERMANY AND THE HOCKENHEIMRING
Every time I visit Hockenheim it rains, and since the old straight was taken out it just doesn't have the tooth loosening sense of speed or the muddy general admission backwoods that was so much fun, but its a place for world class racing none the less and in the middle of the European Summer there's no shortage of race fans (and beer) to make for a pleasant trip into the new cleaner, some would call it "sanitized", world of stadium autoracing.
