It can get hot, though, particularly in mid-summer, being so far from the coast. In June 2002 it was so hot on race day, in fact, that circuit workers had to shower the throngs packed into the general admission area with water from a fire truck.
It's about 200KMs/120MIs from Paris Hotels , but there's a train.

You’ll need to book several months ahead of a big race weekend to find hotels in Nevers itself (they exist) and even with a big run up, you might need to look to surrounding towns like Moulins, Montlucon, St. Pierre Le Moutier. Bourges, (75KMs/45Mis) Vichy, Forges. or Auxerre or other towns you'll find on a local map. You’ll find the main parking/camping area on the road in from the town of Magny-Cours on the back end of the circuit. You’ll need your own washing/drinking water, & food, (unless you want to pay big bucks locally).

Trains:
From Paris' Gare de Lyon station. 2hrs/25EUR. French Trains SCNF. Regular shuttle buses run during daylight hours from Nevers railway station to track. (on big race weekends only, call the track directly to find out if your event qualifies as a "big" one, the definition of this changes from year to year. Whim is a problem with this destination in more ways than one.) The distance from the station to the track 15KM, cost of the shuttle was 6EUR. If there is no shuttle, a cab ride will cost around 30EUR each way.
Drive:
120MIs/200KMs. From Paris, take A10 towards Orleans & Bourges. Get of at the Bourges exit, (N76) to St. Pierre Le Moutlier. Clear signage follows. Expect Road tolls. Good idea is to have a hired camper van waiting for you at your airport, & drive it to your pre-booked campsite. Easy. Find Hotels in Paris for the race weekend.
