The airport is East of the city - the track is South-west. Aim for an hotel on the western side - nightmare crossing the city daily to the track Best to get as close as possible to the track to keep daily travelling to a minimum.Ideally, you need to aim for Sheik Zayed Road, which is the main West-East dual carriageway across the city. Aim for Interchange 4 and take the exit signposted Barsha. Go straight ahead at the next 2 roundabouts. 250 yards after the 2nd roundabout, turn right into the circuit. I would avoid hire cars as much as possible and take taxis which cost little and are EVERYWHERE!
Running a red light can get you 1 month in jail! If you have an accident, you must stay on-scene - block the road - get hooted at by thousands - and wait for the police - who, of course, take hours because of the traffic jam your accident has caused!
Foreigners need home license & International Driver's Permit (IDP), available from your local auto club
Local Public Transit
Taxis are very inexpensive and plentiful.
