The Assen circuit is located 2KMS South-West of Assen, just west of the A28 Motorway (Exit 32) from Amersfoort to Groningen.

Directions From Amsterdam Airport (Schiphol) Take the A4 Motorway towards Utrecht/Amersfoort. Take the A9 Motorsway to wards Uterecht/Amersfoort. Follow the A9 and after passing the A2. (Stay on the motorway continuing towards Uterect / Amersfoort. Then take the A1 Motorway towards Amersfoort / Hengelo. Near Amersfoort take the A28 Motorway towards Zwolle / Groningen. Joing the A28 toward the North passing Zwolle and Hoogeveen, ccontinuing to follow the signs for Assen / groningen. Leave the A28 at Exit 32 (Assen-Zuid). Drive down the slip road, under the bridge and after 100 metres, turn left and follow remaining signs to the circuit.

Getting to Assen by train from Amsterdam
> You'll get a train from Amsterdam central station to Amersfoot and change over to Assen. The trip takes about an hour. Follow the crowds and always very early as Assen is always a popular destination on raceday. check out NS Trains website link above for info on timetables / tickets. In 2009 the cost of this trip was 30 EUR return.

During the TT weekend you can't go by the TT Nacht (Night) (there old website ttnacht.com isn't working anymore.
For other nightlife head for Groningen, the historic university town just 28 kms from the circuit, for mounds of action, or just hang out in the beach resort town of Assen. Both come alive during both big bike racing weekends. The nearest Casino is the Holland Casino in Groningen

Assen circuit is one of those special places for world motorcycle racing. Both Moto GP and World Superbikes classes race there. It's a pretty sea side beach resort, but expect rain at some point during your stay and and rip roaring knees-down fun across any Assen motor-racing weekend. If you believe me and a few of the motorcycle riders I've had the chance to Interview Assen is rightly called "the Cathedral of Speed". Worship!
